It's official, Upper Coomera State College has the first school based Zarraffa's training centre! Students will earn not just a TAFE certification but they will also receive a Zarraffas certificate which is recognised as a industry leader in coffee and beverage making in Australia. This was a crazy idea between myself, UCSC Principal Chris Capra, Bruce and Elisa (Upper Coomera Zarraffas) and Kenton Campbell (Zarraffas owner). Today Upper Coomera State College students showed off their hospitality and beverage making skills whilst working the brand new Zarraffas coffee machine kindly donated by Zarraffas. This machine is second to none!

On Friday 10 March Upper Coomera State College primary school students Gloved up for Clean Up Australia Day, with students from prep right through to year 6 working hard to keep their school clean. The event was a student leader project, with primary and secondary student leaders working collaboratively to coordinate the day. The sun shone through as students raced to pick up the most rubbish in each year level, with prizes to be won for the winning class.

This year UCSC is 'BravingnShaving', participating in the World's Greatest Shave and raising much needed funds for the Leukaemia Foundation.
