Oxenford Pony Club

President of the Oxenford Pony Club Russell Lynch would have to be the hardest working Ponyclub president in the State. I regularly see him working at the Pony Club keeping the fields neat and tidy. Plus he regularly cleans up after others who use the fields.

I do share Russell concerns about what the next flood will do to the riverbank and how much more land will be eroded.

It has been a busy day at the Oxenford Pony Club with some outstanding junior and senior riders competing in today competitions. Plus the weather has been perfect all day. Many just spectators relaxed in the sun’s rays and watched the riders.

Letter to the Premier (Oxenford Pony Club Riverbank)

Last week, I wrote to the Premier, regarding the urgent need to re-enforce the section of the riverbank from the old quarry site to the John Muntz Bridge Upper Coomera. Sections of riverbank have continued to collapsed into the Coomera River over the past few weeks, therefore highlighting the importance of prioritising riverbank re-enforcement works and ensuring these works are done before the next wet season. It's great to see the Oxenford Pony Club back in action after the floods, unfortunately with greatly reduced area to hold competitions. We have about 60 riders here today fighting for the 1st place in their selected events.
