During the community consultation phase set up by the State Government. The department highlighted on its consultation map a potential interchange for the Coomera Connector at Hope Island Road.

In response to a question on notice I asked the Minister Main Roads about the potential interchange at Hope Island Road, the minister informed me that it wasn’t possible to place an interchange here.

Why bother asking residents their thoughts about a potential interchange at Hope Island Road when the Department of Main Road knew this was never going to happen?
