Did you know there was a school located next to Tamborine Oxenford Road, opposite Pinewood Street Upper Coomera? The school was named Coomera Upper State School. It opened in 1877 and closed in 1964. Multiple diggers whose names are on our local cenotaph attended this school. Does anyone have any old photos of the school? Very little remains of the school apart from some concrete and old fences.

Great news for Park Lake State School from Cr Peter Young

Big night for Lions Club of Helensvale, Helensvale State School Parents & Citizens Association and Crosslife Helensvale at the Helensvale Christmas Carols. We cooked 538 sausages (some very well done upon request and others accidentally well done.) Thank you everyone for a great night! We will do it all again tomorrow night at Highland Reserve.

A small gesture of thanks to our schools. Today whilst doing lots of other jobs, I’m delivering Bakers Delight Christmas Cakes to our local schools. Thank you Oxenford Bakers Delight for the cakes and huge thank you to our local schools for all their efforts this year teaching the next generation.
