Plus these businesses give locals employment opportunities. Every dollar spent locally is returned many times.

Ripper of an afternoon at the Coomera Crushers Rugby Union Club. Looks like it will be another great year for the Crushers with a strong selection of player signing up. The women’s team looks especially good this year. I had to take a picture of Dean from the Crushers, he just loves to get in a photo.

A Queensland Flood Appeal has been launched to help our mates in the North. While giving goods is a great gesture the best thing we can do right now is to donate money through these charities.

Crime stoppers funding has fallen short by $250,000 and they will be forced to close its call centre this Friday. We need to keep Crime Stoppers independent and ensure callers feel their information is anonymous. This is the cornerstone to why so many people use the Crimestoppers service. We need the State to make up the difference and keep Crime Stoppers independent.
