The weather wasn’t the best but the Highland Reserve State School fete was a huge success! So successful our P&C President lost her voice, plus the rural fire brigade had to jump start the Police Van. Well done Sarah and her team of amazing volunteers and big shout to the Lions Club Of Upper Coomera for volunteering on the BBQ!

Interesting night, the Lions Club donate $300 to the school, the school donates a large jar of chocolate to the Lions. Not a bad deal, especially if you like chocolate.

Very proud moment for the Coomera and Helensvale Scout members carrying their World War 1 plaques with pride at today’s services at Upper Coomera. The sacrifice of our veterans and serving defence force personnel should never be forgotten. Huge thank you to Northern Gold Coast RSL and Coomera Valley Rotary for their efforts at today’s services.

First up today was the opening of the new Music Centre of Excellence at Saint Stephens College. At a $6 million dollar price tag, it is one of the best facilities on the Gold Coast. It has a auditorium, music classrooms and professional sound recording studios.
