It has been a tough time for our local sporting and recreation clubs across Queensland. As requested by many of our local sporting clubs, I asked the Minister for Sport a question this morning in Parliament. " Will the Minister finally listen to the concerns of sport and recreation clubs across Queensland and immediately adopt the one person per four square meter rule to provide a commonsense approach that allows kids to return to community sport?"

Put this date in the diary; the mighty Helensvale Hogs Rugby Union Club have a friendly fundraiser game coming up against their mates from the Warwick Water Rats. March 14 From 2pm Come down and enjoy the game

This afternoons final game at the Coomera Cubs home ground, Diamond Backs vs the Dolphins. Diamond Backs are proving to be a tough team to beat. Special mention to Nick Day and his team of volunteers for hosting this event.

It has been a successful working bee at the Coomera Cubs Baseball club this morning with a good group of volunteers making lite work of all the jobs that needed to be done to get the fields ready for next weekend’s 3 day baseball marathon.

Big crowds at the Coomera Soccer Club awards ceremony. Congratulations to a successful year for all the teams. Plus my little Samuel got an award, most improved player. Kicking the soccer ball around the house to his mothers dismay and sleeping with the soccer ball all paid off!
