Today marks the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. Almost one million Australian served our country during the war and many paid the ultimate sacrifice. 39,000 Australians sadly never came home and many are buried in far away lands. Like many families, my grandfather lost two of his brothers, one in Sudan and the other in Papua New Guinea. It was a subject he never liked to discuss.

Community members on Brisbane’s southside are asked to remain alert but not alarmed as Queensland records three new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Busy times for Coomera State School and its P&C with lots planned over the coming months. One of the highlights discussed is tonight was the new Coomera markets at the school. These markets will not be run by the school but will be set up by a group independent from the school. But it will be a good fundraiser for the P&C. This will be great for multiple small mum and dad businesses in the area.

Busy morning for Helensvale Farmers Markets with great support from the local community. These markets help multiple growers / farmers sell directly to you the consumer. Plus it great to catch up with out local chamber of commerce president Gary Mays. It has been tough times for many in the business community. Thank you for the fantastic coffee Toni.
