Want to help our mates around the Granite Belt enduring one of the worst droughts in memory?
Water for the West has been set up by Hope Island Rotarian Sharyn Watson and is gaining momentum.
The next time you’re shopping, buy a few 1 litre bottles of water and drop them off either to our electorate office at 340 Hope Island Rd or Mark Boothman’s office at Cottonwood Place in Oxenford. They’ll be picked up in the days ahead and brought to school kids around Southern Downs.
The local MP James Lister says distribution is already happening from a hub set up at Ballandean Estate Winery.
