The Crisafulli Government has locked in a $2.3 billion investment in a new copper mine in North West Queensland, a massive boost for jobs and our resources sector.
The Eva Copper Mine will be the state’s biggest and create up to 1,450 jobs. It builds on our work to secure the future of the Mount Isa Copper Smelter and Townsville refinery, backing the regions that keep Queensland moving.
This project is a key part of the Crisafulli Government’s fresh start for the resources sector, strengthening communities and delivering a better lifestyle through a stronger economy.
