Construction contractor Golding is well advanced on the reconstruction effort on Tamborine-Oxenford Road.
Crews will continue to work on the rock reinforcement of the embankment around and under the causeway connection, within the TMR road corridor.
The department expects the causeway to be open to traffic in July 2017 with completion in August 2017.
These timelines are of course dependant wholly on weather and construction conditions.
