Energex Update
12 Mar 2025 3:35 PMMark Boothman
Energex crews are still working around the clock restoring power. Below if the latest information from today's update.
Estimated restoration times are listed as ‘Est Fix Time’ in Outage Finder: https://bit.ly/48xlsTy These are estimates based on our damage assessments and what we find while we’re making repairs – that’s why they can be subject to changing, if we get some wins we didn’t expect
or encounter additional serious problems which are going to take longer to fix
.
𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲, you’ll need to get an electrician make repairs before we can reconnect you to the network: https://bit.ly/4bHJdex This includes if the driving rain or floodwater got into your meter box. Once your sparkie has checked and made safe, they’ll sign off on the Electricity Defect Report, and we’ll get you reconnected ASAP.
𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁, call us on 13 62 62: we may not know about an individual premises outage unless you tell us.
𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀: Please don’t get complacent: continue to treat any wire as potentially live and deadly and give them a wide berth. And if there’s any doubt whatsoever as to whether they’ve been reported, call us on 13 19 62. 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘆; never indoors, never in wet conditions: https://bit.ly/4kou6dW
𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘁: We’re dropping into Community Recovery Hubs across SEQ to chat with customers https://bit.ly/4hpnYPM and we have some roving community teams calling into hard-hit island communities where there’s no formal hub; including Straddie and, hopefully later today, Lamb.
