Today is Early Childhood Educators Day, and it was great to join Minister John-Paul Langbroek in visiting the wonderful staff and children at Young Discoverers Highland Park.
This year, Young Discoverers Childcare and Early Education Centres are celebrating an incredible 30 years of supporting local children and families, and it's easy to see why they have been so successful.
The children were engaged, happy and enjoying the morning of painting and play and were excited to welcome both the Minister and I for a visit. One of the things that stood out most was learning that nine current staff members once attended Young Discoverers as children themselves. That is a testament to the caring and supportive environment the centre has created over the past three decades.
Thank you to the dedicated educators and support staff who play such an important role in the lives of our youngest learners, helping them build confidence, skills and a love of learning.
