Mark Boothman MP Blog - Rural Fire Brigade

Speech in parliament last week thanking residents for their kind donations to those affected by the recent fires and the mammoth efforts by our local rural fire brigades. I also tabled the names of all our rural fire brigade volunteers who participated so their names are forever remembered in Hansard.

Huge thanks to Mark Boothman MP, Theodore and Harvey Norman for sorting us out with a new washing machine for our station we can now wash our ppe (personal protective equipment)

It has been an amazing effort by all involved! Let’s not forget all the partners, mums, dads, sons and daughters who have had many a sleepless night worrying about the wellbeing of their loved ones fighting the fires.

Our community doesn’t disappoint when the call goes out for help! Thank you again for the overwhelming support you have shown our volunteer rural fire brigade!

Oxenford State School. About 2 acres will be burnt this afternoon at the far edges of the school. Burn is progressing well.
