We’ve listened to Queenslanders across the State who are fed up with repeat offenders re-offending while out on bail.
That’s why Breach Bail, Go to Jail will be law by the end of the year.
This new minimum mandatory sentence will apply to Adult Crime, Adult Time offences for youth criminals who breach bail.
Victim numbers skyrocketed 193% under Labor’s decade of decline with weaker laws and fewer police.
With stronger laws and more police, victim numbers are down 7.2% and trending down for the first time in a decade - but we know there’s still a long way to go.
