We have many local residents who have family members currently stuck in other states desperately seeking to return home. There are many different reasons for the travel including medical, work or family tragedy. They have filled in all the relevant documents and many have never received a response after waiting weeks from the QLD Government .

National Police Remembrance Day 29th September holds a special significance for Police throughout Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Samoa and Solomon Islands. 148 Queensland Police Officers have paid the ultimate sacrifice in the service of Queensland. Most recently Senior Constable David Masters name has been added to the honour board after his death whilst on duty.
