Today, we celebrated 150 years of worship at Uniting North Coomera Church. Much has changed over the years, and I remember (my short lifetime) when Reserve Road was a gravel track, dairy farms in the local area, the Gold Fleece Service Station and the single-lane bi-directional Pacific Highway. One can only imagine the toils of life in Coomera 150 years ago. Thank you, Rev Ralph Mayhew, for being a beacon to our community.

To finish a week in Parliament, the Community Safety and Legal Affairs committee had an all-day hearing into the Queensland Community Safety Bill at Parliament. The wide-ranging legislation covers youth crime, social media, and firearms.
