Coomera Valley Rural Fire Brigade has welcomed three new members to the team, strengthening the brigade and bringing valuable new skills into the ranks. With forecasts pointing to a potential El Niño event developing mid to late 2026, this year may shape up to be a busy one.

Thirty years ago, Terry Whitehead, Eldon Botcher and Ralph Wakefield came together to form a new brigade. Since then, Guanaba Rural Fire Brigade has remained a cornerstone of the community. Three members were also awarded lifetime membership: Brendan Gold, Peter Cleland and Kris Nitakis.
