First tree planting at Regatta Waters Wetlands for 2023. Today Coomera River Catchment Association Inc planted 800 plants. Tomorrow temperatures will be high but the soil’s moist levels are good. This gives the plants an excellent chance of surviving.

Another successful tree plant by the Coomera River Catchment Association Inc. Over many years we have planted many tens of thousands of trees near Regatta Waters.

Hope everyone has their feet firmly on the ground this morning. So windy. We apparently have some fallen trees in the region so take care.

A photo taken today upstream from the John Muntz Bridge. Last weeks rain event caused another 1 to 2 metres of riverbank to collapse as the river continues to move in north west direction through the Oxenford .Pony grounds. I recently asked a question to the Minister for Main Roads about protecting the John Muntz Bridge from future erosion. I referenced a recent article in the Gold Coast Bulletin

Coomera River Catchment Group tree planting was on again today. The group has been planting trees between Grey Willow and Regatta Waters Oxenford for many years and it is wonderful to see their hard work paying off.
