In between volunteering on a few election booths (plus been soaked by the rain head to toe.) and eating a couple democracy snags, I drop by Northern Gold Coast Rotaract cafe at the Oxenford & Coomera Community Youth Centre. Thank you Scott and team for making me a great coffee. All funds at the Cafe go towards local youth projects.

Scott ran a very successful cafe at Upper Coomera Village Shopping Centre. He became a local celebrity in the area for making a great coffee and was always up for a good chat. Scott sold the business and now is retired. Scott is going to volunteer his time and help Northern Gold Coast Rotaract with their Cafe at the Oxenford & Coomera Community Youth Centre on Saturdays 9:00am till 12:00 noon.

National Volunteer Week 16th - 22nd May. This is a week we say thank you to all our volunteers and we have a lot of them! Tonight I’m at a Lions meeting, last night I was at a Rotary meeting. Two of the service clubs in our area.

Ideal day to support your local coffee shops. Northern Gold Coast Rotaract runs a coffee shop at the Oxenford & Coomera Youth Community Centre. ( 25 Tamborine Oxenford Rd Oxenford, access via Leo Graham Way) Saturday 9 am till 12 noon All funds raised go to help local youth projects.

Helensvale Senior Citizens Club is a hive of activities on Thursdays from 9am. Numbers of seniors using the centre has been down since covid but over the last few weeks numbers have slowly increased.
