Our North Gold Coast RSL Sub-Branch Inc. will sell Remembrance Day memorabilia at Oxenford Woolworths next week. On Remembrance Day, the 11th bout on the 11th day of the 11th month, the guns fell silent on the western front to mark the end of World War 1. With a population of fewer than five million, 416,809 Australian men enlisted, of which over 60,000 were killed and 156,000 wounded, gassed, or taken prisoner.

Samaritan's Purse helped residents clean up their properties after the Christmas Day Storm. They spent weeks in the field, chainsawing, removing debris, and checking residents' welfare. They are a fantastic group of volunteers. They are back on the Northern Gold Coast, catching up on a few jobs before moving on to the next weather event.

It’s time for an afternoon community roadside after a busy day in the electorate. During my travels, I caught up with Bert van Manen MP at Coomera Hub Park. Today’s Community Roadside is at Cliff Bird Park (Guanaba Creek Road and Maudsland Road).

Thank you, local residents, for allowing me to continue advocating for our wonderful community. It was good to see so many familiar faces over the election weekend, from our wonderful P&C volunteers cooking up the democracy sausage to other volunteer groups and many other people I have gotten to know over many years. Thank you to my army of volunteers for helping me on the day, your support is always greatly appreciated Now it is time for my regular afternoon community roadside
