Introducing our new OIC (Officer In Charge) at Coomera Police Station. Senior Sergeant Alisha Edwards started at Coomera Station only a couple of days ago, but she is very keen to learn about the community. Alisha is a long-serving Police Officer and has managed multiple police stations throughout her career.

It was a wet day to hit the pavement to update residents about Charles Crossing Road and Tamborine Oxenford Road intersection upgrade project. The Cenotaph will be relocated to Highland Reserve Park (at the top of the hill near the dog park ). We are still waiting on Main Roads to give us the design of the new intersection and a start date for the project.

Helensvale hosted our region's 2023/24 Severe Weather Review tonight with some very vocal residents in attendance. Cr Shelley Curtis and I heard residents relive harrowing memories of the Christmas Day storms and the path of destruction they left. Former and some current Upper Coomera State College students and staff may remember Jerry. Jerry was the groundskeeper at UCSC for many years. He is one of the nicest fellas you'll ever come across. Catching up with him and many others at the Bookfair was good.
