This week in Parliament Parliament, I spoke in the adjournment debate to thank our community and volunteers for their efforts during the recent storm event.

Theodore Electorate, Storm Event Mr BOOTHMAN (Theodore—LNP) (7.25 pm): I rise to talk about the storm event that hit my electorate on Christmas night. On Christmas night at 7.49 the Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe thunderstorm warning.

Queenslanders want these laws. Today our LNP team brought them to Parliament. We’ve tabled amendments to remove detention as a last resort and reopen the Children's Court. It's up to Labor to support them.
