It's a mass of activity at the Coomera Soccer Club sports fields today with teams from all over the Gold Coast playing. Well done to the Coomera Colts management team, referees, coaches and all the other volunteers to make this day run so smoothly.

Pimpama State School Principal Marius Marx new administration building was a much needed addition to the school. Now Marius is working on his next big project, a school hall with all the bells and whistles.

Last week, I wrote to the Premier, regarding the urgent need to re-enforce the section of the riverbank from the old quarry site to the John Muntz Bridge Upper Coomera. Sections of riverbank have continued to collapsed into the Coomera River over the past few weeks, therefore highlighting the importance of prioritising riverbank re-enforcement works and ensuring these works are done before the next wet season. It's great to see the Oxenford Pony Club back in action after the floods, unfortunately with greatly reduced area to hold competitions. We have about 60 riders here today fighting for the 1st place in their selected events.
