Lots of discussions with residents at Magnolia Aged Care in Upper Coomera this morning. It was also great to catch up with familiar faces – Jim, Don, Margaret and Averial. A big thank you to the Magnolia staff for the fantastic job you do in caring for these wonderful residents.

Time for a community roadside at Cliff Bird Park Maudsland after a busy day walking the grassy verges of the electorate. Thank-you to the multiple residents keen for a chat. Plus I noticed lots of Aussie flags flying today.

The National School Sport Cross Country Championships officially opened today at the Runaway Bay Sport Centre. Over the coming days, runners from across Australia and New Zealand will compete for the title of national champion.

Aurora is the winner of my Father’s Day Lolly Competition at Pacific Pines Party in the Park. Her dad now has the perfect Father’s Day gift — a brand-new Weber Q BBQ and a jar of Allen’s Lollies! ✨ Aurora’s guess was 240 lollies… and the jar had 241! So close!

The BUSY School initiative is all about supporting students who need alternative educational pathways, providing individual support to students who would otherwise struggle with traditional education systems. Hoops4schools raises vital funds and awareness of the BUSY School program.
