Supporting Our Local Small BusinessOur local small businesses need your support. Every dollar spent locally is returned many times through community sponsorships and employment. If we don’t support them, they can’t employ more people. Today I visited Spectrum Nursery at Wongawallan to see how they are going with all the restrictions. It has been a quiet few months for them. Our local ScoutsAn army of very enthusiastic scouts has descended on Nerang today to participate in the Junior Kokoda challenge. With a huge variety of activities to participate in, the scouts will be rather exhausted by 2pm, giving the parents a quiet night |

E-Petition Helensvale North/Hope Island Road Train StationAs most of you are aware, the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is planning a new rail station at Helensvale North and I am seeking your support to sign a petition to increase the amount of car parking spaces at this proposed facility. I have been contacted by concerned residents who feel the planned 172 to 174 car parks for commuters will be insufficient and will force rail patrons to use local streets for parking. |
