Demountable classrooms are typically used where student rates are uncertain. However, the Northern Gold Coast's continued population growth means we need permanent school buildings - not temporary fixes. It is time this failing Labor government commits to providing permanent solutions to the growing Northern Gold Coast area. Thanks to Paul Weston and the GC Bulletin for highlighting this issue.

Upper Coomera State College students participated in today's Walk For Daniel. Their behaviour was excellent and they all listened intently to our local Police Officer. Safety of our children will always be top priority. Plus a huge thanks to Upper Coomera Neighbourhood watch for hosting this event at the community centre.

Tonight we celebrated a very special night for the graduating students from the Beenleigh Special School. A very proud night for both teachers, parents, carers and especially the students.

Coomera Springs State School fair is in full swing tonight. There is so much to do from multiple rides, lots of food and heaps of activities for both adults and kids. Take a try of whack a frog and see if you can get the frog in the basket. It rather tricky!

This week I have been working on additional school funding and increased Police resources.
