Police Remembrance Day

National Police Remembrance Day 29th September holds a special significance for Police throughout Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Samoa and Solomon Islands. 148 Queensland Police Officers have paid the ultimate sacrifice in the service of Queensland. Most recently Senior Constable David Masters name has been added to the honour board after his death whilst on duty.

Planned Wongawallan Hazard Reduction Burn

As part of Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) Operation Cool Burn 2021 the Rural Fire Service will be conducting a Hazard Reduction Burn (HRB) starting on Friday 10th September at the end of Wongawallan Drive, Wongawallan and continuing through to Ruffles Road, Willow Vale by Sunday 12th September.
