Tarata Road is still closed at Guanaba Creek. A Council excavator and bobcat have now arrived on site to remove debris from beside the bridge and roadway. Council officers will also need to check that there are no structural issues to give the bridge a all clear. Please don’t abuse council workers. They hope to open the bridge later today.

10:55am 28th February, flood waters along the Coomera River upstream from Oxenford weir continue to fall. Oxenford Weir is now below minor flood level. 6:50am 28th February, the Coomera River levels at Oxenford Weir have risen to minor flooding.

5:00pm 27th February, the Coomera River remains at below minor flood levels apart from Clagiraba monitoring station. Clagiraba is at moderate flooding. Canungra Army base monitoring station is recording below minor flood level but water levels are rising. The Bureau of Meteorology continuously updates river levels via their website. As at 7:00am 27th February. The Coomera River at Oxenford Weir has reached minor flooding during the night. River level monitoring stations up stream are showing moderate flooding at Clagiraba and below minor at Canungra Army Base.
