On a wet day like today, there is no better place to visit than the Helensvale Senior Citizens Hall. I was on tea serving duty, to which I failed terribly. I talked too much, and the lineup kept getting longer. 🙄 The Senior Citizens have game days on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30am to noon.

Sunday Night wrap-up (Parliament Last week). Last week in parliament, we had a big win on changing laws around sunset clauses and buying land off the plan. Hopefully, the legislation will be tabled at the next parliamentary sitting. We (myself, affected families, and local reporter Keith Woods) have been pushing for changes to legislation to make it fair for buyers and developers.

Surf Life Saving Queensland celebrated the end of the Surf Life Saving Season at the Queensland Parliament last night. 🌅 Here are a few Queensland Surf Life Saving statistics 🏊‍♀️ 17,700,000 visitors to our beaches. 🗺️ 8000 kms of coast line patrolled ❗️ 493,000 preventions or warnings ⛑️ 20,000 first aid treatments. 🏊‍♂️ 35,206 surf life savers 🦈 860 shark sighting with drone program
