Last week in parliament I spoke about the wonderful work our local Police are doing, but we need tougher legislation (sentencing) inline with community expectations.

The Crime Stoppers crew is planning upcoming events and fundraisers across the Northern Gold Coast. We have a few Bunnings Sausage Sizzles, Seniors Expo, Mudgeeraba Show and Canungra Show to plan for. Plus it is good to see a couple new members at tonight’s meeting.

Busy week of committee work meeting with farmers, scientists and environmental groups to discuss a new environmental bill that will impact many regions. Interesting hearing multiple perspectives on the issue.

Teddy bears picnic at Upper Coomera Community Centre all thanks to Upper Coomera Neighbourhood Watch! Nicole and Nadeyn would have to the busiest NHW coordinators on the GC. But it good to see they have teamed up with a new helper, a rather large teddy bear.

Team Crime Stoppers Northern Gold Coast are still in business, we have gone through a lot of changes recently but our GC team is keen to keep up the great work locally.
