During the last week of term 2, crossing guards at Helensvale State School requested a trip hazard be removed for students using the northern school crossing on Discovery Drive. Thank you to William Owen-Jones Division 2, Gold Coast Office for quickly fixing this issue.

Busy day out in the electorate chasing up issues, visiting groups and reading a book (budgie goes to sea) to the well behaved students at Good Start Early Learning Centre. The students made up a book with lots of pictures as a thank you.

The Northern Gold Coast once again hosted a number ANZAC Day ceremonies. Special thanks to North Gold Coast RSL Sub-Branch Inc, Rotary Club of Coomera Valley and our local schools for their involvement in today’s ceremonies. This year we celebrated 100 years anniversary of the unveiling of the Upper Coomera Cenotaph. (Official unveiling date 18th of May 1918.)

Well done Helensvale State High School for a wonderful ANZAC Day service and our local digger Matthew Ardley for your insightful speech. The spirit of service lives on through the next generation.
