First up tonight, Norfolk Village State School P&C. This school's community does some truly wonderful work under the guidance of the P&C and Principal Samantha Donovan. Next up Highland Reserve State School and again another proactive school community and equally proactive Principal in Stephen O’Brien.

Grand opening of the Cedar Creek State School tuck shop! Great work by all those involved in getting this project up and running. There will be 260 excited students rushing to line up for their first tuck shop lunch and apple slinky. The question of the day, what is a apple slinky?

Pimpama State School Principal Marius Marx new administration building was a much needed addition to the school. Now Marius is working on his next big project, a school hall with all the bells and whistles.

A very special ANZAC Day service at Beenleigh Special School for some very special students. "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them."

This morning I attended the Norfolk Village State School ANZAC Commemoration Service. Thank you to the student leaders for the respectful way you ran the service and to Phil from the Beenleigh RSL & Golf Club for your informative speech to the students. It is a wonderful thing that the youth of today are helping to keep the ANZAC spirit alive. Lest We Forget.
