Continuing to hit the pavement and meet locals and do my regular community roadsides throughout the electorate. Whilst I was out in the electorate, I had a good chat with Man Up Brisbane/GC. A very passionate group focused on helping men of all ages get their lives on track.

Day One for our new crossing guard at Highland Way (Highland Reserve) has been an outstanding success. That’s partly due to so many excited students giving their parents directions to the new crossing guard. “Need to cross here”. Ps: please wait for our lovely crossing guard to blow her whistle before crossing the road

Congratulations to all our new Aussies at today Australia Day Citizenship ceremony at Helensvale. We welcomed 72 new Aussies from a wide range of countries. Huge thank you to the Lions Club of Helensvale for hosting this event.

Lately I have had a few residents ask what activities are available for senior. Helensvale Senior Citizens meets 9am Thursday at their hall in Helensvale. They are a top bunch of folks with an array of activities, plus they do regularly field trips and holiday tours. Plus the ladies will show the men how to play pool.
