It has been a wet time door knocking the electorate today. This morning wasn't too bad, but the rain increased as the day continued. But it was great to meet many residents, plus I enjoy a good chat.

Busy day walking the streets door knocking Helensvale. It was great to hear from Terry, a local resident of the Gold Coast for over 60 years. He has some great old photos of the Gold Coast back in 1960's. The coast is unrecognisable and I must say, there was interesting fashion back in the day.

It's a mass of activity at the Coomera Soccer Club sports fields today with teams from all over the Gold Coast playing. Well done to the Coomera Colts management team, referees, coaches and all the other volunteers to make this day run so smoothly.

Ormeau Lions Club IGA BBQ is over for another week. Thank you to all Lions volunteer's and to all the locals who regularly turn up for their bacon and egg rolls. All money raised goes back to the local community to assist those in need.

Over the last few weeks, it has been a busy time door knocking the Helensvale area. I must say it's a very nice quiet neighbourhood.
