Last Coomera River Catchment Association Inc tree planting for 2025 at Regatta Waters West Parklands. 25 dedicated volunteers, including Naomi Fowler, Division 2, Gold Coast and Cr Donna Gates - Gold Coast, helped plant trees, shrubs and native grasses.

Early start for bush work at Binna Burra (Daves Creek Circuit). Followed by the afternoon back in the electorate, chasing up issues from the weekend. Time for a community roadside at Maudsland.

Also, it was pretty cool to spot an eagle's nest while walking the pavement in Maudsland today.

For those keen to look for ET or love staring into the black void of space and wondering what is out there. The Southern Astronomical Society meets monthly at the Oxenford Pony Club. More information here. https://www.sas.org.au
