The BUSY School initiative is all about supporting students who need alternative educational pathways, providing individual support to students who would otherwise struggle with traditional education systems. Hoops4schools raises vital funds and awareness of the BUSY School program.

Sailability State Conference was held today at Southport Sharks. What is Sailability? It is a non-profit community organisation that facilitates sailing and boating for people with disabilities, people who ordinarily would not experience sailing. Sailability are looking for volunteers that want to make a difference in the life of someone less fortunate.

Lions Club of Helensvale board meeting to discuss multiple projects, including the recent Guanaba Rural Fire Brigade family fun day. Lions donated all profits back to the brigade. Another project discussed was helping Oxenford State School P&C Association with a project they are working on. More to come on this
