Today is an important occasion to reflect on the sacrifice of police officers from all across Australia who have lost their lives in service of our community.

Last week, amendments to the Fire Service Act were passed in the Queensland Parliament. 👨‍🚒 The changes grant autonomy to our Rural Brigades, enabling them to use their initiative and respond more quickly in emergency events or disasters, even when communication channels are down. It is about giving the volunteers the flexibility they need to better serve the community. Studio Village Community Centre Uniform Shuffle & Spring Markets were held today, with multiple schools selling school uniforms. Plus it was good to catch up with Carol from the Upper Coomera Lions Club. Carol is passionate about hearing Dogs for people with a hearing impairment. Massive effort today at Oxenford Bunnings BBQ. The boys from the Oxenford Men's Shed Inc have had a hectic morning and lunchtime period. Graham is overheating, trying to keep up with the demand.
