Over the past two weeks, construction contractor Golding has been cleaning up the site and removing debris from the waterway including a large submerged tree caught under the causeway. Temporary rock platforms have been constructed on both sides of the causeway to allow an excavator to reach under the bridge to commence the reconstruction of the damaged sections of Tamborine-Oxenford Road.

Grand opening of the Cedar Creek State School tuck shop! Great work by all those involved in getting this project up and running. There will be 260 excited students rushing to line up for their first tuck shop lunch and apple slinky. The question of the day, what is a apple slinky?

The Yatala Neighbourhood Watch team are hosting their regular sausage sizzle BBQ at Sears Road Park. They are a friendly bunch and are always up for a chat. Come on down and grab a sausage on bread.

Ormeau Lions Club breakfast BBQ is over for another week. Ron is seen testing his own cooking skills, and I must say, he's a very good master chef.
