Local Small BusinessSaturday’s storms caused extensive damage to many vehicles, homes and local businesses. Our local nurseries also suffered damage from the hail and winds. ( The rain was very welcome ) The plants will grow back, they just don’t look the best at the moment. Please keep supporting our local businesses. Image was taken at Spectrum Nursery at Wongawallan. |

John Muntz BridgeQuick check of the riverbank upstream from the John Muntz Bridge. The Coomera River has eaten into about 8 meters of bank. If the riverbank isn’t armoured, the river will continue to eat away at the riverbank as it makes its way to the John Muntz Bridge. |

River Rising John Muntz BridgeThe Coomera River has continued to erode sections of the Oxenford Pony Club upstream from the John Muntz Bridge. The Pony Club has lost another 5 to 6 meters of land. Last week I did a speech in State Parliament highlighting the riverbank will continue to erode if reinforcements aren’t carried out to protect the land upstream. The river will slowly reclaim the land as it makes it way to Tamborine Oxenford Road. |

Spectrum Plants Nursery Dams Are FullFrom almost no water to over flowing!!!! Spectrum Plants Nursery dams are full. It’s a great result for the many nurseries in the area and other businesses that rely on mana from the heavens. Regular follow up rain would be very nice. Plus thank you to the many locals who have supported these businesses through the big dry. |
