Guanaba Rural Fire Brigade Family Fun day is over for another year and all the volunteers are exhausted. The BBQ made about $1,800 profit. Not a bad effort. Huge shout out to the Guanaba Rural Fire Brigade for the amazing work they do in our area and all the personal time they give up for our community.

First time in ten years during a Community Roadside a local has asked me if I could get him a Lions Christmas Cake. Lucky for me I know a few people, who know a few other people, who know a few more people. I have known Ray for many years, he regularly stops for a chat. (Oh yes I have made a phone call and secured him a Lions Christmas cake.)

A couple highlights of the weekend. Today Helensvale Lions celebrated 40 years of dedicated service to our local community. Stewart Proud is the last of the founding members in the club and over the years he has seen many changes to our district.

Congratulations Upper Coomera Lions Club on another successful year. Lance was re elected as Club President for another year. Upper Coomera Lions is a small club but they are very proactive in fundraising for local and National initiatives.

Breakfast is ready to go at the Lions Helensvale Car Boot sale at Helensvale Plaza. 🥓 Bacon & 🥚 Egg on bread 🥯 or Sausage on bread 🌭 We’re cooking till 9am. Car boot sale ends at 10am 1st Sunday of the month
