NYE celebrations at Coomera with the Coomera State School, Wasp Creek Rural Fire Brigade and Cr Donna Gates. Entertainment on stage from 7pm. Fireworks at 9pm.

It has been a successful working bee at the Coomera Cubs Baseball club this morning with a good group of volunteers making lite work of all the jobs that needed to be done to get the fields ready for next weekend’s 3 day baseball marathon.

First boxing day job done, stained the wooden decks at the Coomera CWA hall. It looks brand-new again. Heading off to my next Boxing Day task

Delivered Christmas lunch (Roast Turkey Rolls) for our local Police. Christmas Day is a busy day for our Police with a huge amount of calls for service. Please have a wonderful Christmas Day and remember the true meaning of Christmas. I also want to highlight so many amazing locals who have opened their door to others who don’t have family close by and shared their Christmas Day. Truly wonderful. Please have a safe day and remember Christmas isn’t about “me” but it’s about “us”.

Christmas celebrations at the Southern Astronomical Society Upper Coomera. President Brendan and his team have had a successful year participating in multiple school science nights. Dazzling students with the rings of Saturn or the red spot on Jupiter and its moons. The first image is the Christmas Tree Nebula. Interestingly it is only visible in the sky this time of year.
