Mark Boothman MP Blog - May 2017 - Community

Awesome to catch up with Walter and the team last night at the Australian Air League Gold Coast AGM and introduce Mark Boothman MP, Member for Albert as many of the members reside in Albert. This will be even more so after the next election when Albert becomes the Theodore Electorate which will include the Park Lake area next to Pacific Pines. Mark is a great local member who will be working hard with me for our shared community groups!

The offical opening of the Coomera Cutters Jnr Rugby League brand new clubhouse, it has been years in the making, but it has been worth it in the end. Well done the the club committee, volunteers, CR Cameron Caldwell and Michael Crandon MP for all working together for this amazing outcome.

It has been a wet time door knocking the electorate today. This morning wasn't too bad, but the rain increased as the day continued. But it was great to meet many residents, plus I enjoy a good chat.

Busy day walking the streets door knocking Helensvale. It was great to hear from Terry, a local resident of the Gold Coast for over 60 years. He has some great old photos of the Gold Coast back in 1960's. The coast is unrecognisable and I must say, there was interesting fashion back in the day.

It's a mass of activity at the Coomera Soccer Club sports fields today with teams from all over the Gold Coast playing. Well done to the Coomera Colts management team, referees, coaches and all the other volunteers to make this day run so smoothly.
