Big thank you to the legendary Helensvale Lions Club for once again hosting the Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony at Helensvale and Stuart Robert MP for his enlightening speech. Australia Day isn't complete without a Aussie flag in a Lamington. Thanks again Lions.

Community Roadside Wednesday at Halfway Drive Norfolk Village next to the greatest soccer team in Oz, Ormeau Football Club

The completed M1 Motorway Exit 54 interchange seems to be handling the school traffic rather well. Whilst it is important to upgrade the other interchanges, we desperately need another Motorway between Logan and the Gold Coast. With tens of thousands of people moving to the Northern Gold Coast in the coming years, the need for a new alternative Motorway must be a priority.

Every year we hear the same debate about Australia Day. Change this change that. Australia Day is the 26 of January, this Australia Day, support our Aussie Farmers, throw a steak on the BBQ, get some pork on your fork or dig into some lamb chops. Support local small businesses, buy Australian grown and have a great day. If you don't wish to celebrate Australia Day, have a great day anyway.

Community Roadside Monday at Damian Leeding Park Oxenford/ Upper Coomera. Highlight of today was seeing so many exciting young students telling their mums and dads about their first day at school.
