The Coomera River flood heights are below minor apart from Clagiraba which is showing minor. The Beechmont Range (main catchment for the Coomera River) has only received 106mm in the last 24 hours. The intense rain depression is expected to slowly move south over the Gold Coast and Hinterland later today and into the evening. If the road is flooded, forget it. Don’t place your rescuers in harms way.

Coomera Colts Soccer club FFA season started today and why not start the season with the club’s major sponsor Sea World Helicopters delivering the football to start the season. Coomera is playing North Pine, good game.

Busy weekend for the Oxenford Pony Club with them hosting multiple competitions. Pony riders from all over South East Queensland have filled the grounds. Today’s competition is more focused on jumping.

Lions Club of Helensvale Car Boot sale is on this morning at Helensvale Plaza. The lions have cooked breakfast, bacon & eggs on bread or the humble sausage on bread. The Car Boot sale is held on the first Sunday of the month from 6am till 10am Helensvale Plaza.

Highly successful Helensvale Farmers Market this morning with many stores selling out all their stock! These markets are a major fundraiser for the Helensvale State High School P&C.
